STATE OF OHIO REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age; 21 years of age for Armed positions
- OPOTA Peace Officer Certification is highly preferred
- Current OPOTA Security Guard Certification with Firearm Bearer (FAB) designation will be accepted in lieu of the OPOTA Peace Officer Certification
- Must pass an employment background check with a favorable employment history
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal and traffic background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must have the physical capabilities to perform all job functions
- Must be able to meet insurance standards for use of company’s patrol vehicles
- No criminal convictions on your record
- No dishonorable discharge from any military branch of service
- Demonstrates strong communication skills
- Demonstrates effective time-management skills
- Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures
- Ability to maintain professional composure, especially when dealing with challenging circumstances
- Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
- Ability to learn and utilize the latest technology in accordance with job responsibilities
EXPERIENCE (ONE OF THE FOLLOWING MUST APPLY FOR ALL ARMED PATROL ASSIGNMENTS):
- Retired Police Officers in good standing with their respective department
- Police Officer with at least one consecutive year of experience and off of probation period
- Current or retired military personnel
- Prior Security Officer experience with good licensing standings with the State of Ohio having Patrol Duties
